Charmer - Mesozoic Mind

En 1987 se lanzó "Dinosaurs! – A Fun-Filled Trip Back in Time!", un video educativo creado por las productoras Will Vinton Productions, Pyramid Films y Golden Book Video que protagonizó Fred Savage (el niño garrapiñado que protagonizó "Aquellos Maravillosos Años"). La cinta adquirió cierto éxito tras exhibirse en el Smithsonian Museum y ganó varios premios. Contaba la historia de un chaval que tiene que hacer un trabajo sobre dinosaurios para la escuela, pero no se le ocurre nada. Bueno, hasta que escucha esta cacho de canción llamada "Mesozoic Mind":



Un temazo como la copa de un pino. La letra corrió a cargo de Virginia Theimer Clapper y la música la puso Charmer, una banda que supongo que se creó para la ocasión, porque no he encontrado nada suyo por ahí. Ahí dejo la letra:

Apatosaurus plodded past,
As tall as any tree.
And Pterosaur flew through the air,
And monsters fill the sea.
A mighty Stegosaurus clad with armor down it's spine,
Raised their Camarasaurus, and others of our kind.

I hid behind a wall of rock when Allosaurus roared.
Corythosaurus ran away, escaping hungry hoards.
Diplodocus took just one step, and made the forest shake.
I did not want my dream to end, I didn't wanna wake.

Bueno, ayer era el último día de entrega en el Primer Certamen Literario Koprolitos. Gracias a todos los que habéis participado. Hoy convocaré al jurado (del cual un servidor no forma parte) y les pasaré los relatos que me han enviado.
